Hello friends and family!
I am finally here with your January update! I apologize this is a bit overdue the last week has been quite a busy one as I prepared to continue my World Race Journey. As some of you may know I left on January 5th for Gainesville, GA where we are doing trainings and preparation for launching TOMORROW! Lord willing my squad and I will be heading out to Costa Rica tomorrow morning!
But first a little recap of how December went! I enjoyed the time at home to catch up with friends and family. The Lord blessed me with sweet conversations with friends and opportunities to share about what the Lord has been teaching me on this World Race journey! Although the holidays this year looked a little bit different as I am sure many of yours did as well, I enjoyed the simplicity. It allowed me to reflect more on the gift of Jesus Christ and I pray the “different” allowed you time to reflect and sit in the love and grace of the father too!
Moving forward my squad and I are so thankful for this opportunity to begin ministry in another country. So many of the plans and details of the race have changed but he knew the plans he had for our race long before any of us said yes to this journey. The Lord has been challenging me to fully surrender plans into his care and lean into trusting him more and more. We head to Costa Rica not knowing what the next few months will bring but he has plans for what each and everyday will look like!
Some members of F Squad are still working to fundraise. Their deadline to be fully funded is the end of January! You all have been so faithful in supporting me and I am so grateful for everyone who was a part of helping me reach my goal! I would love if you would prayerfully consider making a contribution to my squad mates Clayton, Emma, Tull Abi or my squad leaders Milly and Aaron. Anything and everything helps, and we are all so grateful for your support and partnership in God’s work! My squad dedicated a good portion of today to pray, worship and be proactive in fundraising. Since this morning alone the Lord has provided over $3,000 and two people are now fully funded! Praise the Lord!! Praises:
1) The ability to spend extra time with family and friends over the holidays!
2) The Lord provided the opportunity to spend a week at a cabin with my team to process and enjoy each other’s company after not being able to return to campus the first two weeks of December!
3) My squad and I all made it safely back to Gainesville, GA
Prayers:
1) That everyone will A) get their Covid test results before we leave for the airport at 5am tomorrow and B) that they will all be negative.
2) That we would all remain healthy and be protected from any Covid exposure as we travel, as well as safety.
3) That we would all transition well into ministry and the routine of life in Costa Rica. That God would meet each of us where we are at and allow us to receive his love so that we can love well and healthily step into ministry physically, mentally, and emotionally!
4) That the Lord would provide for my squad financially and everyone can be fully funded!!
Thank you all for being apart of this journey through the ups and the downs and whatever this next part of our journey looks like. Your prayers are encouraging and give us the strength to continue on in the unknowns, the celebrations and the day to day! I look forward to sharing with you what God will do through Gap F during our time in Costa Rica.
As we transition to being overseas please do not hesitate to reach out through email, what’s app or social media platforms. I will not have an international phone plan to communicate over the phone and will have limited access to wifi but I would love to reach out when I have the opportunity!
Have a blessed January!
