Last weekend I sent out my monthly email update, I wanted to also share it here so that you have the opportunity to hear how God is working and what things are coming up in the next month!

Hello All!!

I hope this finds you doing well! I am so excited and honored to share with you how you can be praying for me as we head into month two of the World Race. It is hard to believe I have officially been “on the race” for a full month. It has been an incredible month of connecting with my team and squad. Learning how to be a community and the body of Christ. Learning about the father and each of us individually walking out and growing in our personal relationships with the Lord.

God has been teaching me a lot about my identity in him and refining who I see myself as through him. Something that he has really been revealing to me is that I knew who he called me. Child of the King, chosen, beloved, forgiven but I had not truly been walking that out and believing these truths about myself. I was quick to speak these truths over others and remind them of the Grace God was extending them but not doing the same for myself. I find joy in serving and encouraging others but God is teaching me in this season that I need to take care of myself, love myself and intentionally spend time with him so that he can show me who he sees me as. He is breaking the chains of guilt and shame and through his grace showing me how to step into the adored, beloved daughter he has created me to be. After coming from a season of constantly giving out its is a blessing as well as a challenge to be still before the Lord and be satisfied to just receive. The gracious Father knew I am not good at that and I am thankful for his provision of a season where I get to learn how to receive and be filled up so that when we transition into the next I will be able to pour out and serve more abundantly than I ever did before. Oh, what an incredible and gracious God we serve! Praise the Lord!

Praises:

– Very Exciting news!! We have the opportunity to go down to Lake Charles, Louisiana to serve with Samaritans Purse to do hurricane relief! We will be going to serve the last week in October, we are so grateful for this opportunity to serve and do ministry as a squad!

*News we have received since writing this update last weekend is our time has been extended and we have the opportunity to serve 2 weeks in Louisiana!!*

–  Incredible times of worship and community, the joy of coming together to recognize what God did for us on the cross and the freedom we stand in because of his Grace!

–  God has blessed me with and incredible group of girls I get to call my sisters, my team and family! They all love the Father so dearly and it is a Joy to watch how the Lord is already working in their lives and using them for his glory!

Prayer Requests:

– Safety to and from Louisiana, Oct. 24-31 * now until Nov. 7th* and a great time of serving. That God would be evident in our actions and service and this experience would bring our squad closer together!

– Continued good health for everyone as temperatures get cooler and we continue to camp outside.

– Open hearts and ears to what God is speaking to me and teaching me! That I would continue to be challenged and learn how to simply sit and be still in God’s presence ready to receive whatever he has for me.

– Continued Unity and growth in relationships within my team and squad! That through our interactions and relationships we would be a picture of the body of Christ, the Church coming together for the sake of the Gospel and his kingdom.

Thank you all for your love and support through prayer! Praying many blessings over you all through this month of October!

Blessings,

Abigail Benedick
