Hello friends and family,

October seemed to fly by and here we are already heading into November. We began the month continuing discipleship training in Gainesville. The topics of our sessions took a turn from a focus on intimacy with God to more practical hands on application for the field. This included sessions on, Islam, Catholicism, Children Ministry, Racial Reconciliation and more!

However, this last week took an exciting turn as we completed our first week of ministry in Lake Charles, Louisiana! It has been a full and exhausting week. As I’ve mentioned before we are partnering with Samaritans Purse doing disaster relief. With that said ministry has looked like tearing down dry wall, ceilings, ripping up floors and lots and lots of mold. It has been an incredible experience getting to meet each homeowner. These homeowners have lost so much, not only have their lives been distributed by covid like so many of us, they have also been through not one but two hurricanes. It is completely heart breaking to walk into some of these homes. Many of the homeowners are just living within all the mess because they have no where else to go and they are not financially capable of bettering their situation. It is such an honor to get to come along side them and not only help them with their physically need in this storm but show them they are loved and cared for spiritually too by a heavenly Father. The work we are doing is not easy, some days are really hot, and we have to wear n 95 masks due to mold, I’ve never done construction work before, and while I might be sore and tired with every reason to complain it’s the homeowners gratitude, the brothers and sisters in I’ve gained and the encouraging fruitful conversation you have over dinner with other volunteers that give me the motivation to show up every single morning with just as much excitement as the day before to go to the next house! This week my team leader, Palmer, and the Billy Graham Chaplin’s assigned to our team led four people to the Lord this week. That is why we are here and oh how incredible it was to witness that this week! We have one more week here in Lake Charles and I am so excited for all that the Lord has in store for this week and the last two week we have in Georgia before we head home for Thanksgiving.

I have some really exciting praises to share with you all!!

1)      I am officially fully funded!!

I have grown so much through this fundraising journey and am so thankful for everyone who partnered with me. I would not be here without all of your support financially and through prayer as well! I am excited to continue to share how your partnership with me is making an impact on God’s kingdom, here in Lake Charles and overseas in January. God is so good!

2)      Yes you read that correctly… We are going international!!

This past week we received the amazing news that we have the opportunity to launch overseas in January. The squad was overjoyed! We do not know yet our ministry locations but we will most likely be serving in one of the following Central/South American Countries; Nicaragua, Guatemala, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Honduras.

3)      We completed our first week of ministry!! I shared a whole lot about it above but it is a huge praise that we have had the opportunity to serve the Lake Charles Community!

Prayer Requests

1)      Prayers for another great week of ministry, that God would create divine appointments throughout the week, and we would be able to continue to be lights for the community!

2)      Safe Travels and Transitions this month. We will return to Georgia on Nov. 7th for two weeks then will be home for thanksgiving for a week. Please be praying for smooth travels too and from and all the transitions happening during the month of November.

3)      Pray for unity within my team and squad that we would continue to grow closer to each other as the Church and body of Christ.

Thank you for your partnership as we head into month 3 of the World Race! I am so blessed by each of you and am honored to have you beside me for this journey.

Praying you have a wonderful November and a Happy Thanksgiving what a joy it is to be heading into the holidays!

Blessings,

Abigail
