I want to give you all a little glimpse into what we have been up to the last month here in the Dominican Republic! These pictures capture little moments of life, ministry and the everyday here at Hope Mountain. Enjoy:)

Ministry:

During Outreach week we had the opportunity to bring groceries to some of our neighbors and pray over them.

We also prayed over and made notes for women who are or have been sexual exploited.

During Admin week we helped create a children's curriculum for the Churches they have planted, translated curriculum and helped make some of the curriculum accessible virtually.

Property week looks like a whole bunch of different projects around the base. Above is one of the mornings we helped pour concrete for a house they are building for two of their staff.

One afternoon we got to help milk the cows,

and pick up horse manure on a very steep hill.

On Saturdays we go to the the communities basketball court and play with kids from the community!

A couple weeks back we also had the opportunity to put on a talent show for the community! It was a fun evening of bringing a divided community together for a good time.

A squad mate and I have had the opportunity to regularly lead the squad in intercession! This looks like taking a couple hours a week to pray and intercede as a squad over Hope DR and our hosts. Every other weekend we also have a 12hr prayer night where we take turns praying throughout the night.

Other Moments

The veggie truck comes by once or twice a week!

I got to ride a horse for the first time in forever! This is Dominguez named after the host family however here they tend to drop the last couple letters so we call this guy Dominga, he's a sweet guy and so much fun to ride.

This is the little tienda up the road from us, one of many small stores in the La Jas community. We enjoy treating ourselves to a coke, it tastes better in a glass bottle and you can't beat 50c for a liter:)

On our off days we enjoy taking day trips to the beautiful beach just an hour away!

We hand wash everything, even our sheets!

I will never get tired of waking up to this view! It is absolutely beautiful and everyday it is a blessing to see the hand of God in his creation and in the occasional treat of a rainbow stretched across the sky after a sprinkle.

If you stuck through to the end thank you! I hope you enjoyed these moments:)

Please do not hesitate to reach out with any questions or if you want to hear more!
